I find that I see birds nests in trees best in the late winter. Why? is it the angle of the light, that I am just hoping to see something interesting during the relatively birdless time of winter? Whatever! but I like your nest-and eggs too. Waiting for spring to hatch. I just hated the paper in the book, wouldn't do it again just because of that. It was like working on blotting paper. I scanned it before I sent it off, so it was too traumatic putting it in the mail! It was still nice to hear when it got there, though.

Re: http://www.corvidcreations.net/?p=337

wow C. that is beee ooo tiful. I am doing 'Beneath the Surface', could have filled loads of books, as it takes off in all sorts of directions. However, I have stuck with beneath the surface of the earth, so am looking at soil profiles, geology, that sort of stuff. Well, I was a geographer in another life.... Hate the Moleskin book's paper, though, it soaks up everything I put on it, so I've resorted to covering pages in coloured tissue paper just to get some colour on them without it showing on several pages eitehr side of the one I am working on.

Re: http://www.corvidcreations.net/?p=197

Hi Catherine - I just signed up for the sketchbook project and was assigned "dirigibles and submersibles." I've not been very good with this sort of thing, as I tend to write in a journal (Morning Pages, a la Julia Cameron) rather than sketch or draw. Although I do use sketchbooks in my art planning, I'm also not good about keeping them up. This project, I figure, should be an exciting challenge!

Re: http://www.corvidcreations.net/?p=175

Hello Catherine. I attended one of your wonderful workshops (Sew Write) at the NEC and wanted to tell you about the article I saw in a Piecework magazine some years ago. I was hoping if I gave you the details you might be able to access a back issue. I know you will find it interesting as there's a really interesting article on Pearl Allen and her writing on fabric in the 1920's/30's which I'm sure you'll enjoy.

So, the magazine is Piecework, July/Aug 1995. The bar code at the bottom reads... 14302 80188. It has Pearl Allen and her daughter on the front cover as well as some of the tatting she had made.

Jackie Dickinson

Re: Old Growth

Hi Catherine
I love your work - and it is getter even better - well done

Re: Past And Present

Hi Catherine - the website is awesome - I particularly like this entry the colours are very vibrant.
